Lab session 2
Materials, lights, Cameras: the surfaces of things.
What is Additive colour ?
-It involves lights emitted directly from a source; uses Green/Red/Blue. In second life, particle scripts act on the RGB based Additive colour. (1,1,1) brings out white as all lights are shone at maximum intensity, where as (0,0,0) gave black
What is Subtractive colour ?
- It is a mixing of paints to create range of colours; uses Yellow/Red/Blue
Make an architectural frame to hold your 3 RL team member’s photos in Architecture 1 on NZVW
We are an odd numbered group so we worked on second life
How to make an alpha channel/ offset material
: i have used my own photos of works to experiment with different layers, offset, brush, light rendering, and filtering effect in photoshop and the following images shows the process i have taken to make an interesting texture for the objects in the library. Similar process was taken for my other textures
